A experiential Belly Dancing workshop with Cara assisted by students from her local dance classes in Plymouth.

This workshop is suitable for beginners, and for those who have done belly dancing
before. Everyone welcome (men too!).
Cara is a Belly Dance performer, teacher and choreographer, based in Plymouth, UK. Cara has been dancing all her life, watching and learning from her mother (Kristina) who would choreograph and perform Jazz, Contemporary, and Oriental styles of dance.
At 17, Cara began to learn Belly Dance, focusing on Egyptian style Raks Sharqi (Dance of the East), along with Persian, Khaligi and American Bellydancing.
In 2004 she was written into a BBC Period Docu-Drama, The Sugar Dynasty, as Yasmine - an 18th Century Oriental Dancer - after she was spotted at an audition.
Cara has performed at Ashton Court Festival in Bristol, Walthamstow Festival in London, and (alongside Rolf Harris) in the Eastleigh Festival in Soton.
